Pastoral Training System
Welcome to the HeartLink Network Pastoral Training System (PTS). This program is designed to equip and mentor those called into pastoral ministries. We believe it is the primary responsibility of the local church to raise up today’s leaders and release them into their calling with proper training and accountability.
If you believe God is calling you into pastoral ministry, your first step is to meet with your local Sr. Pastor. Should your Sr. Pastor have peace about your pursuit of pastoral ministry then your second step is to complete the PTS application and return it to your local Sr. Pastor. Your application will then be reviewed for acceptance into the PTS. Once approved you will be guided in how to get started with your training.
There are two primary tracks for the PTS. The Leadership Track will involve reading requirements, written reports, a presentation and a weekend event at the end of the module. Each module run 3 months in length. The Theological Track will be through Liberty Home Bible Institute. This is a self paced program that takes about two years to complete.
An important aspect of PTS is the mentoring/coaching relationship with a local pastor. You will be expected to have regular meetings with your local Sr. Pastor or staff pastor for accountability, guidance and encouragement.
Please contact Pastor Marty Smyser, PTS Director, for more information.
